Known as GRASS.This software is an opensource . Lots using in UNIX operating system, as linux. But today this software can be install in windows operating system. In my experience to install GRASS in LINUX or WINDOWS is not just simple. Because i am not a programer so it is realy difficult to install on linux although in binary.GRASS is Geographic Information System (GIS) that used to analyze and geospatial data managemen, image processing, map productin, spatial modelling, dan visualization. Nowadays GRASS used inacademic and comersial in worldwide, likei government agents and environment consultan.
GRASS development in indonesia generaly on academic is not develope well,probaby caused this software is not to familyar.
